Who We Are

Tezaur Folcloric CIC is a community organisation  registered in the United Kingdom, founded out of  a love for Romanian culture and traditions.  

We are ordinary people who believe that our  identity deserves to be preserved, celebrated  and passed on - here, in the heart of London. 


 Since 2023, we have organised over 16 cultural  and community events across Hertsmere Borough  and Greater London. 

Our Culture and Heritage

Romanian traditions are an important part of who we are.

Through music, dance, traditional food, celebrations and cultural events, we aim to keep Romanian heritage visible and accessible to future generations 

while also sharing it with people from different backgrounds.

We believe culture should not create barriers. It should create connections.

Our events give Romanian families and individuals opportunities to celebrate their roots while welcoming people from the wider community to discover and experience Romanian culture.

Supporting the Community

Our work goes beyond cultural events.

Tezaur Folcloric CIC also supports charitable and community initiatives, helping people facing difficult circumstances and bringing attention and practical support to those in need.

We believe that even a small contribution can make a difference when people come together.

Through fundraising events, partnerships, community activities and the involvement of volunteers and supporters, we aim to turn community spirit into practical action.

The UK is home to people from many different cultures, backgrounds and traditions. 

We see this diversity not as a challenge, but as an opportunity - to learn from one another, to share what makes us unique, and to build communities that are stronger together.

Through our events and activities, Tezaur Folcloric CIC opens its doors to everyone. While our roots are firmly in Romanian culture and heritage, our community extends far beyond. 

We welcome families, individuals and organisations from all backgrounds who share our belief that culture should bring people closer, not divide them.

We work with community members, volunteers, performers, local businesses, sponsors and public representatives to create events and initiatives that encourage respect, 

inclusion and genuine cultural exchange.

Our gatherings have brought together people from across the diverse communities of Hertsmere Borough and Greater London 

- creating spaces where different cultures can meet, celebrate and learn from each other.

Marius Ionel Neicu ~ Co-Founder & Director

 Viorel is the artistic heart of Tezaur Folcloric CIC. A folk artist with over 20 years of experience as a performer and vocal soloist, he founded the organisation out of a deep commitment to keeping Romanian culture alive in the diaspora. He leads our dance, music and traditional arts workshops and is the driving force behind everything we do as a community.

Marius brings structure and stability to the organisation. With a background in History and Political Science, he oversees the legal and administrative side of Tezaur Folcloric CIC, ensuring that everything we build is built to last. His dedication to the community has been present from day one.

Sophia shapes the visual identity of Tezaur Folcloric CIC. A Doctor of Visual Arts and MA in Creative Media, with experience as an associate lecturer in London, she ensures that our message reaches the community with clarity, creativity and purpose. From event design to communications, Sophia is the voice behind our image.

Our wider team

 

Beyond our directors, Tezaur Folcloric CIC works with a growing network of specialists, volunteers and community contributors - from IAG advisors and cultural educators to performers, photographers and event coordinators. Together, we make sure that every event, every workshop and every community initiative reflects the best of what we stand for.
